Do you need help in your life?
Do you feel overwhelmed with problems?
Do you have fear in your life?
Do you need someone to love you?
Do you need rest?
The answer is Jesus. “How can I
get help?” Call on Him for help; “Jesus,
save me!” It’s as simple as that. When Jesus
was crucified on a cross 2,000 years ago there were
two criminals on either side of Him. One of them was
insulting Him, the other said;
“Don't you fear God," he said,
"since you are under the same sentence? We are
punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve.
But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said,
"Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today
you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:40-43
(NIV)
"Jesus, remember me when you come
into your kingdom." It was that simple, no deeds,
no penance, nothing to earn, just a free gift from God.
Grace.
“But, I’m a good person, I
don’t need to be ‘saved’”. Well,
that’s not exactly true, we’ve all done
things that we know are not right. The Bible calls that
sin, disobedience to God’s commandments;
“For all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God,” Rom 3:23 (NIV)
And there is a stiff penalty for sin;
“For the wages of sin is death,”
Rom 6:23a (NIV)
But there is hope!
“but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom 6:23b (NIV)
Jesus paid our debt to God, He was our
substitute, He served our sentence of death;
“But God demonstrates his own love
for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.” Rom 5:8 (NIV)
But that was not the end of Him!
“On the first day of the week, very
early in the morning, the women took the spices they
had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone
rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they
did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they
were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes
that gleamed like lightning stood beside them."
"In their fright the women bowed
down with their faces to the ground, but the men said
to them, "Why do you look for the living among
the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how
he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of
sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised
again.'" Luke 24:1-7 (NIV)
All we have to do is call out to Him;
"Everyone who calls on the name of
the Lord will be saved." Rom 10:13 (NIV)
"Man-up!" Own up to the
wrong that you have done and ask God to forgive you,
He will!
“If you confess with your mouth,
"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
Rom 10:9-10 (NIV)
Jesus said;
“Here I am! I stand at the door
and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
Rev 3:20 (NIV)
He is a friend like no other and He is
knocking at the door of your heart! Won't you
let Him in today?
"For God so loved the world that
he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God
did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him. Whoever believes
in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe
stands condemned already because he has not believed
in the name of God's one and only Son.” John 3:16-18
(NIV)
