Pastor Phil May's recent statement on the progress of the building program program:
"It is my pleasure to announce to you that the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors approved the parceling of our property!
What seemed impossible for many of the county planners was made possible on Tuesday, August 19th 2008.
Just like the Israelites who faced unbelievable odds, we serve the same God, who said, "Try Me and see if I will not open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing you can't contain!"
Hope
Community Church is in the process of building a new home
for our congregation. We have a great location east
of Highway 101, at Santa Maria Way, next to the Elks Rodeo
Grounds.
The building will be located
on a 10-acre site zoned highway commercial. The U-shaped
land will be divided into three parcels. The two smaller
lots which border the freeway will be sold to pay for the
new church building.
Hope Community Church will
be the first major development east of the freeway.
The 29,373 square foot church will provide sanctuary seating
for 600 people and 11 classrooms for Sunday school classes.
Hope Community Church has about 250 members and is now meeting
on Sunday mornings at the Edwards Cinemas at 9:30AM.
Come grow with us.
